There are some common symptoms that prevail among the patients of CCMD. These are very easy to detect and you can have them diagnosed if the chronic pain paired with any of the following persists. Here are some of the common symptoms and signs of a CCMD:

  • A throbbing pain in the neck and shoulder region, which can also contribute to a stiffness of the back muscles.
  • A chronic and a recurring pain in the head and the neck.
  • One or both the jaws may start to make a clicking or a popping sound.
  • A strange feeling or sensation of ringing, buzzing, roaring or hissing in the ear.
  • A lingering dizziness and lightheadedness, even though there is absolutely no reason to feel so.
  • Unbearable pain while opening the mouth or chewing.
  • Easily get tired and fatigued on a regular basis.
  • Occipital pain radiating to the shoulder and back.
  • Tingling sensation of fingers.
  • Leg cramps
